What would a year of being BOLD look like for you?

Have you ever noticed the people who achieve while others struggle to get out of their comfort zone, even though they say they want things to be different?

When were you last bold? When did you:

  • Overcome fear and had the courage to do something outside your comfort zone – being brave
  • Overcome the need to look good and show up to be the person you are – being authentic

Being bold means stepping away from the certainty of what you know. Sometimes it means stepping away from the safety of your tribe and having a different voice. It’s about tuning into the whisper inside of you that tells you there is more. That you can be more. Being bold is when your courage is bigger than your fear. It’s about saying ‘yes’ to you.

Last week I caught up with John Fitzgerald, CEO of Custodian, about being bold, as part of his 2018 Kickstart Webinar. Use this link to hear our 5 min chat. http://bit.ly/2nYuUuI As an Australian property expert, he became a friend and mentor when we met 20 years ago. At the age of 17 he backpacked to Brisbane with $200 in pocket, and by the age of 25 he owned $1 million in net property assets.

Success isn’t final. Failure is not final. It is the courage to continue that counts – Winston Churchill.

I grew up in a family without money. I believed only the smart people who already had money built wealth. I met John just after my marriage had failed. I’d walked away with nothing and needed to start again. Learning from people who challenge what you believe is a good thing.

People who achieve aren’t any smarter. They don’t have more talent or potential. What separates them are the opportunities they pursue.

If being bold was your theme for 2018:

  • In what area(s) of your life would you be bold in?
  • If you couldn’t fail, what would you do?
  • What momentum could you build?
  • Who would you become?

“I don’t regret the things I’ve done. I regret the things I didn’t do when I had a chance”

Being bold takes 3 things:

  • Belief that you can do it and that you’re worthy
  • Courage to take the next step
  • Getting the support you need along the way

What are you going to do to step into your Bold zone? What change is on your horizon? What’s your first step?
